There is an abundance of wildlife living in Three Rivers, including the more densely populated areas. Recently, there have been increased reports of fox, raccoon, skunk, and coyote sightings. These are wild animals and the Provincial Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division has published a number of brochures on how to best deal with nuisance wildlife animals. Providing food for them not only reduces their fear of humans and their ability to fend for themselves, the food supplied for foxes or raccoons may inadvertently create a welcoming environment for coyotes. Residents are encouraged not to feed them. For more information or to report a problem, call the Provincial Fish, Forestry and Wildlife Division at 368-4683.
