PID 855775, Chapel Rd, Cardigan
Pursuant to section 143 of the Municipal Government Act, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the proposed disposition of municipal lands.
By Deed of Nov.7, 1997, for the sum of $1 the Government of Prince Edward Island conveyed to the Community of Cardigan (now Town of Three Rivers) P.E.I. PID # 855775, being 3.21 acres of vacant land located at Chapel Rd., Cardigan, PEI, having a current assessment of $7,800. The Deed provided that should the Town desire to dispose of the Lands, the Province had the option to purchase the Lands for the sum of $1. The Town no longer requires the Lands and proposes to convey the Lands to the Province, provided that the Lands will continue to be available for parking for users of the Cardigan Ball Complex, and that the Town’s storage building will remain on the Lands for its useful life for use by the Ball Complex.
Council of the Town will make its decision regarding this proposal at its regular meeting on December 14, 2020, 7 p.m. at the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre. Members of the public who wish to speak at the meeting are advised to register by calling 902-838-2528 no later than noon, December 9, 2020.
