Brudenell

Brudenell is a lovely community located along the banks of the Brudenell and Montague rivers in the Three Rivers area. In the 18th century, Jean Pierre Roma, an Acadian settler, set up his base settlement at Brudenell Point, located at the confluence of the two rivers. One of the major accomplishments of the people of this early settlement, was the construction of several major roads on Prince Edward Island that are still in use today! Unfortunately this settlement was destroyed by the English as they came through, but eventually was resettled again, which allowed the area to flourish into the picturesque community that it is today.

Brudenell is home to many unique attractions and historical sites. Brudenell boasts an authentic drive-in style restaurant that will take you straight back to the 1950’s, a dairy bar known far and wide for its large variety of tasty offerings, and the Roma at Three Rivers National Historic Site, just to name a few!

Fun Fact: One of the fathers of confederation was born in Brudenell in 1829, Andrew Archibald Macdonald.
