As we continue to work towards a sustainable and environmentally conscious future for our beloved town, we are excited to invite you to participate ina community engagement event hosted by the UPEI Engineering – Future Urban Energy Lab for Sustainability (FUEL-S), along with Government of Prince Edward Island and UPEI – Canadian Centre of Climate Change and Adaptation. The agenda of this engagement event includes an info session followed by a discussion with the community and a Q&A session about the upcoming
Georgetown net-zero assessment project.

Location: Georgetown Elementary School

The Georgetown net-zero assessment project is a first step towards an ambitious initiative aimed at becoming the first net-zero community in Prince Edward Island. It involves a series of strategies and measures to evaluate our energy consumption, increase energy efficiency, and promote the use of renewable energy sources going forward. This project aligns with our commitment to environmental stewardship and holds the potential to improve our quality of life, enhance our local economy, and secure a sustainable future for generations to come.

Your participation and engagement are crucial to the success of this Georgetown net zero assessment project.
