All residents are encouraged to follow EMO recommendations and prepare to shelter in place for at least 72 hours in the event of a widespread power outage.
TOWN OF THREE RIVERS POLICY: Expected Level of Service During a Power Outage Emergency
In the case of a power outage emergency within the Town of Three Rivers that extends over a 72- hour period the following power outage emergency centers will be provided for the public to access once it has been deemed safe to travel by the Province of Prince Edward Island;
- Montague Fire Hall – 28 Queens Road, Montague, PE
- Cardigan Fire Hall – 358 Shore Road, Cardigan, PE
- Lower Montague Community Center – 179 Lower Montague Road, Lower Montague, PE
The hours of operation for each facility will be 8 am to 8 pm daily until the power outage emergency has resolved.
The following services will be available at each power outage emergency center;
- Access to water
- Electrical outlets
- Heated space
