Some important information for voters and candidates.

Voter Registration
Unless otherwise disqualified, a person is entitled to vote at an election in a municipality if the person
(a) is a Canadian citizen;
(b) is at least 18 years of age, or will attain that age on or before election day;
(c) has resided in the province for at least the six-month period immediately preceding election day; and
(d) is ordinarily resident in the municipality on election day

To make sure you are included on the voters’ list for the 2022 Municipal Elections, please register or update your information using the Voter Registration Portal by September 30th. Any updates after this date may require you to be registered/updated at the polls.
All eligible voters in Three Rivers who are registered with Elections PEI will receive a Voter Information Card  (VIC) in the mail by mid-October.
Even if not registered ahead of time, every eligible person may vote in their municipality with two pieces of ID.  If you’re registered and receive a VIC in the mail, it makes your voter experience at the polls much quicker and more efficient.
