UPDATE MAY 15:
The first vessel containing wind turbine components for the Eastern Kings Wind Farm Project is now fully offloaded in Georgetown. Beginning May 15th components will be moved up to Eastern Kings between the morning and afternoon school bus windows. The first morning loads are expected to leave Georgetown at approximately 9am with safety escorts and will take a few hours to travel to site. Additional loads will be transported in early afternoon before afternoon bus windows. Disruptions lasting a few minutes can be expected at the Pooles Corner round-about as loads turn onto highway 4 – Additional components will arrive in late May, with travel dates announced in advance.

Road and traffic impacts from the Eastern Kings Wind Farm project
Components for the Wind Turbine project will be trucked from Georgetown to the project site in East Point. Offloading for Vessel 1 in Georgetown has begun, and transport will start May 14-16 and is expected to be completed by May 26-27.
Vessels 2 & 3 are expected in June.
