The Town of Three Rivers is seeking members of the community for two committees – the Remuneration and Allowances Commission and the new Community Outdoor Rink Development Committee. Administrative support will be provided to both committees, along with compensation as outlined in the Town’s Remuneration Bylaw, which is available online at: https://threeriverspei.com/bylaws/

Three volunteers (a Chair and two members) are required for the Remuneration and Allowances Commission, which will conduct an independent review of the Town’s Remuneration Bylaw 2019-10 and make recommendations regarding the compensation package for the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors and non-Council committee members for the term of office beginning December 2022. The Commission must file a final report to Council by March 14, 2022.

The Community Outdoor Rink Development Committee will be tasked with recommending an appropriate location for an outdoor rink in Three Rivers, developing an operational/maintenance plan for Council’s approval, and a contingency plan for poor weather. Up to three community volunteers are sought, and a Chair will be appointed from among the members of Council.

Anyone interested in participating on either of the Town’s committees is asked to contact Mayor Ed MacAulay by noon on Friday, October 8 at emacaulay@threeriverspei.com

Those indicating their interest should specify which committee they wish to be involved with and any relevant experience that should be considered.

Appointments to the committees are expected to be made on October 12 at the regular monthly meeting of Council.
