The Montague Arts and Culture Festival Committee is looking to recruit volunteers in a variety of areas for the 2024 festival! Review the form linked below to see if this is something you may be a fit for! Dates for the festival will be July 26th-28th, 2024.

Arts and Culture Festival Committee Volunteers 

Time commitment  

  • Monthly meetings March to June. 
  • Weekly meetings in July leading up to event. 
  • Few hours weekly to complete assigned tasks outside of meetings. 

Volunteer Position Descriptions 

Parade Planning 

  • Set up and monitor parade registrations. 
  • Parade route layout. 
  • Recruit volunteers to help day of with parade lineup, at the parade end. 
  • Reach out to Fire and Police Departments to help with traffic control.  
  • Ensure parade entries are in the correct lineup order day of.  

Entertainment and Vendor/Market Booking 

  • Book entertainment music/dancers/buskers/etc. for the allotted times on Friday and Saturday 
  • Recruit and register food and artisan vendors. 

Children’s Activities 

  • Determine and book what will be included in the Children’s Zone i.e. inflatables, face painting, crafts, scavenger hunt, mascots, etc.  
  • Coordinate setup locations, times, etc. with rental companies and site setup coordinator(s) 
  • Set a schedule for volunteers who will monitor this area on Saturday and Sunday 

Sponsorship and Funding 

  • Reach out to local businesses to inquire about sponsorship. 
  • Seek other streams of funding and sponsorship. 
  • Keep track of all finances, payments, receipts, etc. for whole event
